This page explains how BLU TECH ("we", "us") handles data in SuperMart POS, our Windows Point of Sale software, and specifically how the optional Google Drive Automatic Backup feature uses your Google Account.

1. What SuperMart POS stores, and where

SuperMart POS is a desktop application. All of your business data — products, sales, customers, suppliers, invoices, staff accounts and everything else you enter into the app — is stored locally on your own computer, in a database file on your own machine. We do not operate a server that receives or stores your business data. BLU TECH does not have access to your shop's data unless you explicitly send it to us yourself (for example, to ask for support).

2. Google Drive Automatic Backup (optional)

SuperMart POS includes an optional feature that lets you connect your own Google account so the app can automatically upload a copy of your local backup file to your own Google Drive, as an extra safeguard on top of (never instead of) your local backups. This feature is off by default and only activates if you choose to connect your Google account.

When you connect Google Drive, SuperMart POS requests exactly one Google permission scope:

• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file — "See, edit, create, and delete only the specific Google Drive files you use with this app."

In practice, this means SuperMart POS can only see and manage the backup files it itself creates, inside a folder named "SuperMart POS Backups" in your Drive. It cannot see, read, list, or modify any other file, folder, photo, document, or anything else already in your Google Drive. This is a deliberate, minimal permission choice — we do not request broader Drive access.

3. What we upload

The only thing uploaded to your Google Drive is a copy of your own SuperMart POS local backup file (the same backup file the app already creates on your computer). No data is sent anywhere else, and no data is shared with any third party, sold, or used for advertising.

4. Your control over this feature

• Connecting Google Drive is entirely optional and off by default.
• You can turn off Automatic Daily Backup, or disconnect your Google account entirely, at any time from Backup & Restore → Google Drive Backup inside SuperMart POS.
• Disconnecting removes SuperMart POS's access to your Google account. It does not delete any backup files already uploaded to your Drive — those remain yours and stay in your Drive until you delete them yourself.
• You sign in directly on Google's own sign-in page. SuperMart POS never sees or stores your Google account password.

5. Data retention

Backup files uploaded to your Drive follow a 30-day retention policy on the Drive side (older automatic backups are cleaned up so they don't accumulate indefinitely), but you may delete any backup file from your own Drive at any time regardless of this policy.

6. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Google Drive Backup feature after a change means you accept the updated policy.
